Accessible FormNet™ allows a wide range of customers to digitally interact with your organization using electronic forms to improve customer service and provide you with accurate data so vital to growing your business.
Forms developed using Accessible FormNet™ are very easy for customers to use. The help system and conditional logic guide them through the data collection process with prompts, detailed instructions, and the ability to skip unnecessary sections of a form.
For ease of use, customers can save the data at any point in the process and reload the file at a later time to restart the process. When the process is complete, they can print or e-mail the filled form or just the data back to your organization for streamlined processing. They can also save the blank, partially filled or filled form for future use or for their records.
Both sighted and blind or visually-impaired customers use the same product interface to complete electronic forms. The flexible help system guides the user through the data collection process by asking them questions. The user’s response determines the process flow, which minimizes the confusion and shortens the overall process by eliminating unnecessary queries.
Organizations benefit from the open standards used throughout the system. Accessible FormNet™ allows you to migrate from your existing paper and electronic forms (regardless of the format) without the need to re-design them from scratch in some proprietary tool. Accessible FormNet™ creates the form template that allows you to start capturing your customer’s data immediately...accurately...and efficiently.
Data is stored in a native XML format so it can easily be fed into your existing corporate information system without writing a custom integration or implementing an enterprise application integration (EAI) solution. Because the form’s presentation is independent of the data that is being collected, you can make changes to the data collection process, update the form or pre-populate additional forms without making any changes to the XML structure.
Keeping data and design independent of one another, allows either to be updated without extensive programming that is required by other more expensive systems and formats.
Accessible FormNet™ is a modular solution that runs in Windows environments without the need for costly server and end-user software, making implementation a matter of days rather than weeks or months.
End-Users complete forms on-line or off-line using the Accessible FormNet™ Fill module that runs locally without a database, server or Internet connection. The Fill module automatically detects the use of screen reader software and switches to verbal mode, eliminating the need for special software versions for your blind or visually-impaired customers. Since the software is forward and backward compatible, your customers are not forced to purchase new versions of the software to use new forms.
Data can be re-used throughout the form, so users only need to enter it once. Personal data is encrypted and stored locally on the customer’s computer to pre-populate other forms. Incomplete required fields do not stop the customer from moving on and completing other sections of the form, but the form cannot be signed unless all required data fields are filled. If all fields are variable, the Fill module presents the customer only with prompts so they do not need to move between fields.
Once a form is completed, it can be signed digitally, and multiple levels of signatures can be used within a single form. Signatures are created using digital certificates or locally stored image files. Once applied, a signature locks all previously filled fields that are associated with that signature level.
BizCycle for Workflow Processing uses web services to link the Fill module to the workflow engine. Designers embed routing information into the form and then publish the form to a server. Users complete the form normally and submit the completed form to the workflow server for routing. Organizations can install BizCycle on their networks or it can be hosted by Intercon.
Intercon offers its customers a service to validate the accessibility and usability of electronic forms for blind and visually impaired users. This unique and valuable service is offered through a strategic partnership with the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired – Goodwill Industries (ABVI). ABVI will certify that your electronic forms are accessible and more importantly usable by your visually impaired customers or employees who have to complete a form for information or services.
