INTERCON ASSOCIATES INTRODUCES R-FORMS SUBCRIPTION WEB PORTAL FOR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
Rochester, NY- A veteran-owned company promises to make a big impact on data capture and paperless workflow at institutions of higher learning. Intercon’s R-Forms Subscription Web Portal features its latest software product, Accessible FormNet™, which has revolutionized the ability to provide accessibility and usability to electronic forms on a worldwide basis in government for the past eight years. This solution complements Intercon’s R-Forms USB self contained portable system that enables the entry of data, the submission of data & the processing of data with no software license fees or new hardware.
"Accessible FormNetTM has allowed the Federal government to reduce the paperwork burden costs on the public considerably, passing on 5.1 million hours and $274.4 million in savings to taxpayers for 2004," said Don Jodrie, Director, Forms and Printing Policy Division, Office of Governmentwide Policy at GSA. "In 2005 those savings increased to $298 million. These savings would not be possible without Intercon’s Accessible FormNet™ solution."
Intercon’s R-Forms provides institutions with the ability to facilitate their interactions with students, parents and faculty by migrating their paper-based or static electronic forms to a more interactive data capture solution.
The R-Forms Subscription Web Portal solution, hosted by Intercon, captures all input data from students and parents electronically, and allows individual schools to define their own output content. This provides seamless integration into the school’s enterprise information system. The product’s unique capability to allow the user to save and electronically submit the form or the data based on the school’s workflow process requirements provides a richer user experience that integrates the Web and the desktop more closely.
Students find the online forms via the R-Forms link on the school’s web site to the R-Forms Web Portal that carries the same look and feel as the school’s site. Students and parents who have used R-Forms describe it as straight forward and very user friendly. Business objectives are accomplished through the effective interaction of people, systems and processes.
The R-Forms Subscription Web Portal fills the gap left by existing enterprise applications and business inefficiencies that plague ad hoc processes and tools. The portal also acts as a repository for pertinent school procedure and policy documents, putting more capabilities into the hands of its users (students, parents, and faculty).
Students can complete their forms online and submit them electronically; eliminating the need to mail or hand deliver forms to the appropriate office. Required fields produce more accurate data and less administrative rework for the school and the student. All data is stored electronically, so there is no danger of the original being lost.
The R-Forms Subscription Web Portal reaches beyond a single department by creating a paperless workflow throughout the campus, including the student accounts, registrar, admissions, business, and alumni affairs offices. R-Forms subscription fees are based on the number of students using the portal which makes it extremely cost effective.
